I can state that there are some challenging prospects which are going to require much business diligence and courageous entrepeneurial initiative. These are going to be taking much time to develop and your prayers on our behalf will be much appreciated and coveted. The core of these initiatives will be pertaining to the kitchen property where LIFE Community Services have their nerve center and the Children's Village which is currently coming on to the front burner due to the growing orphan crises in our midst. Meetings a short time ago have had significance written all over it and I am encouraging you to keep praying in total faith that the unfolding of God's purposes will be the result of this initiative. I might hasten to add that what is happening at LIFE Community Services and the Children's Village are two separate issues altogether and are organizationally structured differently. I attended the opening of the LIV Children's Village in the Durban area, and accordingly,  I am confident that we are on the right track with this initiative to reach in and touch countless orphans and widows in this area. COURAGEOUS

On behalf of LIFE Community Services and Eden Leadership Foundation, I want to to say that we had a momentous time Monday evening hosting the premiere for the movie COURAGEOUS. Humble Pie Entertainment were the catalysts for this in South Africa and were most fantastic to work with. I recommend that everyone goes to see this well-acted, inspired and action-filled film with a theme about Fatherhood and so many of the different challenges fathers are facing these days. Many tears were in manifestation but there were also moments of rolicking mirth which kept the audience attention deficit to an absolute nil.  Riveting to the "enth" degree and so relevant to today. You can get more information about the movie @ www.courageousmovie.co.za. Following is a quote from our son-in-law Timothy Saxman who unbeknownst to us had sat with our daughter the previous evening and watched the same movie in the USA: "I had the privilege of watching the movie "Courageous" tonight. I have learned a lot. A lot I have should have already known. It disturbs me how much lacking of a husband and father I have been. I challenge all you fathers and or husbands or those wishing to be either to watch the movie and "man-up". I expect it not to be easy all the time but with God's help....I declare... AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE WILL SERVE THE LORD." Amen to all of that Tim, and may God help all of us to become more mature and compassionate fathers in these the closing days of time.

I can officially report that as of 1-11-11 or 11-1-11 whichever part of the world you come from, we had our first New Zealand visitor all the way from Auckland, and we can now say that we have broken the meridian that existed for over two years with no one from that land visiting our site. Great to see a first-timer from the northern reaches of Canada near Hudson Bay which I estimate to be near a place called Churchill in the province of Manitoba. Delighted also for a touch-down on our site from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania for the very first time. That is not too far from the capitol Harrisburg. We welcome back also our friends from Brussells, Belgium. So good also to see our friends back from the northern part of Holland called Groningen. Southeast from Moscow, Russia is a city call Zhirkov where one of our latest visitors comes from and thank you for joining us on this site. DEVELOPING WEB SITE STATISTICS

I have been researching what is going on with this web site and thought you might be interested in knowing also some details about this site. Firstly, there are more than 25 countries that have touched base with us over the past few months and obviously, from a USA perspective, there are many States that come from within that one entity along with several provinces from within South Africa. In this past month, we have had over 200 visits with the average time on the site being just under 9 minutes. I can even tell you that the amount of people using Windows on this site are 76,6% and Macintosh is 18.1%. Browsers include Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Safari with the vast majority being Firefox. People also connect via Android and IPhones also. It is interesting to also note that we are averaging over 3 visits per day over the past month, and have as one of my goals going into the new year to see that exponentially grow at least by 10 times within the first few months of 2012. Will you help me with that please?

I can tell you that hundreds of people who visit also go to the links I have cultivated over the past few years. I have an obvious bias in this also in that my son's web is one of those links and he is a budding filmmaker. He is also striving to make his professional mark in this industry and in anything relating to commercials, documentaries and promo's. I encourage you to contact him for anything of that nature and connect to his site to see the potential he brings to his work. One other point about the web site stats of interest is that there has been an incremental and exponential growth in numbers over the past two years and the chart indicates only a rise and no dips at all. We rejoice in that and pray that you keep encouraging your friends from all over the world to get to this site. Whenever I tell people on my Facebook facility to read the changes on this site, there is always a rash of visitors within a short period of time and I am asking you to get people on your social connecting facilities to take a look at this site.

DIRECT APPEAL

As most of you know, the world economic state is in turmoil at best and disastrous on the other end of the spectrum. The head of the Federal Reserve Board, Mr. Ben Bernanke, hinted recently of an eight year recession period.  For many years now, we have been working under severe constraints because of this condition in the process of creating a new generation that rises up and becomes mighty children in the land. As the songwriter put it so many years ago: WE’VE COME THIS FAR BY FAITH, LEANING ON THE LORD… I have also learned that leaning does not necessarily mean staying quiet, but as one man of God stated to me back in the 1960’s:”Philip, you need to let your requests be made known not only to God, but also to man.” Another lesson is  that God's economic stimulation pattern is diametrically opposed to man's economic prognostications and methodologies.

Therefore, let me paint this picture for you. Our personal income has never been an issue to us and I for one will never make this an appeal, but for us the work is the main concern here as we minister to over 2000 impoverished children with very limited tools to get the harvest of precious children into the kingdom of God. The Muslim community out here, is very dedicated to their faith, and seemingly has endless resources to winning the hearts and minds of the children in this country to their cause. We want to make an even more urgent appeal and in that regards, the time is ripe even as we speak to make a massive difference in our children’s lives.

Let me explain. At the moment ( the third week of January 2012), the rand-dollar exchange rate is at $1 fetching just around 8.10 rand, which keeps registering the highest rate we have seen in the past couple of years. Unfortunately, the price of gas (petrol for the South Africans and British) has gone up twice in recent months and we began paying just over $4 more per/tank than we were previously and that is for a small car. Currently, we are paying just over $5.50 per/USA gallon. As you can see, life is much more expensive out here than anybody can imagine. When petrol (gas) goes up, everything else goes up incrementally in a whiplash effect.

On a positive side, with the VERY high exchange rate, now is the perfect time to garner any and all resources to once and for all get the kitchen property LIFE Community Services has occupied since 2002, and purchase it outright, thus relieving that pressure which has been taking up so much time to motivate. Currently again, the difference between two months ago and now is that where then we would need to raise the amount of approximately $240,000, we now only need to raise $215,000. This is why we are asking people to become engaged, as we feel this year going forward we must go out and forthrightly make our appeal to the hearts of the people we know.

Our home pastor, Bishop Joseph Garlington has crystallized a potent truth with this statement: THE OPPORTUNITY OF LIFETIME ONLY EXISTS DURING THE LIFETIME OF THE OPPORTUNITY. In light of that, you can take advantage of an opportunity which is in fact a celebration. On the 10th of December 2011, LIFE Community Services had a tenth anniversary concert here in George to give honor to the Lord for all the great things He has done over these past years, and our own Idols winner in 2010, Elvis Blue brought his whole band giving an amazing concert in an event designed to make further appeal to the people of this region to become partners in the progress LIFE is making by the grace of God in this area.  Elvis worked with us here long before he went into the contest in 2010, and we are only too grateful that he is making LIFE his main support group. RADIO PROGRAM

We had another inspiring third broadcast of the new year last night in our discussion around this month's theme of MENTORING. My friend and colleague Richard Mason joined me for the continuation of this series. We touched down on some very raw and controversial nerves in a sensitive way and will continue this series next week when we give live examples as to the power of mentoring in peoples lives. Richard has been walking through the valley of the shadow of death in a figurative sense, and extremely effectively communicated his heart to a live audience. I am encouraging you to join us wherever you are as I know we have a sure word from heaven for these times we are living in. I also spent some time with my lawyer a while back, who incidentally does all of our work pro bono (gratis), and he is now satisfied that we have met the requirements to become a Public Benefit Organization, which for all South Africans means that you can give to Eden Leadership Foundation with the knowledge that 14% of your donation is a tax write-off. There are other benefits as well, but I want to encourage you to become a partner in what God is doing here as you can see in reading further on in this page. It strikes me that the numbers we quote below can actually multiply magnanimously if we just had some more people come on board financially and for those people in the EU nations and the USA reading this, there is a financial vehicle in place there also to bless particularly the children of this region, and we are actually filling out forms at present to make it easier for people in the USA to receive more of a benefit for assisting us to bring in the harvest that is so ripe even as we speak.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

I want to PLEASE encourage prayer also from all who read this that God will supply me with a new mode of transport as my faithful old car is beginning to be quite expensive to operate. It has also become clear to me that with the development of the children's village, a hardier vehicle other than a Toyota Avanza is going to be needed, so I am now believing for an economical 4x4 configuration. I am making an appeal connected with this request as the time of harvesting is upon us and we need all the tools we can put our hands on to enable the blessed process God is putting us through right now. Based upon an average exchange rate of 7 South African rands to 1 US dollar, (but with an even better rate now as outlined above) we need an extra $500 per month to advance this cause for a proper vehicle. I would not make this statement if I did not feel that God is priming us for developing his heart literally to thousands and even millions of children throughout this country and continent. Now IS the time for discovering, developing and delivering mighty children into this world and I am asking for you to give us these tools to bring that about. POWERFUL INTERVENTION  

I have been deeply challenged by one of the most humble young men I have ever met who has never sought for lights and acclamation, or popularity but is simply committed to what is being developed through this Foundation. Each month, he sends a tithe of several thousands of rands into our account from his business and his testimony is that God has simply blessed his business accordingly. Through thick and thin, he has never relented on this commitment. The result of this faithful giving is that almost 35000 impoverished children are impacted with the good news of Jesus on a consecutive basis and all glory goes to the Lord for His mercy in each one of these lives. Another businessman I know states that ever since he started giving 1% of his total business income to LIFE Community Services as identified below, his business has doubled over the past few months.

This is why I want to reiterate the importance of becoming a partner with us as God is up to something huge. When you read the prayer section below, you will realize how huge this is becoming. God is also getting ready to bring the wealth of the heathen into kingdom purposes. (Proverbs 13:22) More about that in the near future as we share about some recent experiences we have had the privilege of observing.

LIFE COMMUNITY SERVICES DEVELOPMENTS

The hand of God is mightily upon LIFE as the vision is increasing in addition to development. Recently, a bulldozer came in and free of charge grated the land for the building of another Happy Feet creche’ and pre-school. Another footnote to that process is that the mound on that land has been removed and transported across the street to the LIFE kitchen site where it has been leveled for the purpose of bringing better drainage on that property. This guarantees that more children in the community will be accommodated and that the waiting list for the first Happy Feet can be diminished. Plans have already been drawn for developing this site by a local architect who charged absolutely nothing. Thank God for people with a heart like his. The plans mentioned are absolutely brilliant and represent some very creative and community-spirited concepts which are practical and allow for sections to be built in a modular way. More development meetings are happening even as I write this little update for the site and we certainly covet your supplicating prayers on our behalf. 

We also give thanks to the Lord for granting us a tenth of the finances necessary to purchase the kitchen property. It is currently at R200,000 (approximately $30000) and if we can raise another $250000, we can once and for all claim the land for the kingdom of God. We believe that this is coming very soon and please pray into this request with great intensity. With praise to God, a prominent insurance company in South Africa recently contributed R20000 towards the purchasing of the property.

It is totally absorbing reading and will stir the slumbering chords of mission development in your heart. More developments are also around the corner and one of them is that a house has been been purchased for $12000 where the full-time HAPPY FEET creche can be accommodated and a new center can be erected in the suburb of Borchards. Recently, on the 10th of December, as mentioned above,  LIFE hosted an event which can only be described as a world class occasion. The pre-planning, prizes, hosts, decor, artistry, setting, master of ceremonies was indeed of the highest calibre this city has ever experienced and if it was done in New York City or London by the greatest event planner on this earth, it could not have been done in a more excellent way. President's and Queens would have been comfortable and I just want to say that LIFE has many more friends this week than previously as the result of this amazing time. Last year's Idol winner in South Africa, Elvis Blue who now has a few platinum awards under his belt, was the guest of honor and presented a powerful concert for all the people gathered. For this, we are truly grateful.

I trust you were praying for the special event yesterday with a very large company here in South Africa. Our choir children were asked to perform along with an amazing soloist and these people have been extremely beneficent in the past to different organizations. I can say that the children did a spectacular job and that many people were deeply touched by their gifts offered up to the Lord. We are praying that God will open their hearts and their wallets to LIFE and ask you to pray in the same manner. Thank you so much for joining with us in this most interesting development.

PLEA FOR PRAYER PARTNERS

As the coming of the Lord draws nearer and the challenge of the end-time harvest for the kingdom of God becomes personified in us, we have realized the necessity for laboring in prayer even greater than ever. We have also seen an increase in the forces of darkness trying to bring destruction in myriads of ways, and it has given ample ammunition for us to realize that Satan realizes he only has a short time to go. Our response is critical at this time as we also realize that God wants us to stay busy until He comes back and part of that is taking care of the orphans of which several hundred are children we work with every day.

I realized recently, after all we went through with the diversity of battles that I need to make a plea for people to become part of a great prayer army making intercession and running prayer interference against the forces striving to hold us back and destroy if they can. On Thursdays, from 6h00 to 7h00 Central African Time, we move in concerted prayer on behalf of the new incentives going forward pertaining to orphans and the unemployed. Feel free to join us in spirit if not in body right here at my office (DIE KANTOOR) as we labor together in intercession and humility before the Lord our God. Today's prayer time was of the highest quality we have ever experienced and there is huge expectation coming forth from this time. I was at our lawyer again a short while ago and we are busy setting up the structure for the childrens’ village with him. Please keep that in prayer and pray also for total favor in the time of favor as we anticipate that this development is moving forward progressively and in God's holy timing. If you can join us in spirit from wherever you are for this vital time of prayer, just work out the time difference east or west from 6 to 7 am Central African Time. Thankfully, many of you are coming forward and expressing a desire to prayer partner with us, and we are so incredibly blessed that you would be impressed to do that. It will be much appreciated also if you can pray over a very subversive attack on the credibility of an unnamed organization in this area who have labored with total responsibility, accountability and integrity for many years. The Tobias' and Sanballats of the modern world, as Nehemiah found out in his time, are still around and if there was an immorality or financial dishonesty in manifestation, one could understand where the attack comes from, but this has become a personal vendetta by people who have nothing better to do than criticize what has been an impressive intervention in this region. Your intercessions will be valued and honored.

An urgent call came in from a friend about a few months ago now regarding an opportunity that has arisen and if successful could mean some radical changes about the financial climate we are working in here. I checked out the information again recently and there are certain encouraging signs. Please keep this as a matter of priority prayer. I have enlisted a friend of mine to assist in the vital financial mechanics of this development as it becomes reality and we will need all the wisdom from the throne of God to be effected when this comes together. Folks, I plead with you to pray into this urgent request as cages are being rattled in order for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. The proposal we submitted is for major amounts of financial support and God is busy putting together a team around us who understand what needs to be in place for this blessing to be properly administrated. I have also seen the connection between this initiative and my contacts in Washington, DC since coming back here from the USA and believe that this will all accrue to the glory of God and the advancement of the kingdom of God.

I have discovered that it is never wise to make decisions or even strongly believe something until what I call the 2 Corinthians 13:1 principle is activated, particularly when a person is making momentus decisions. A word came recently (which I believe is a true word), and I will work out that word when confirmation of that word is received as the Scripture clearly states, that "every word shall established by two or three". Basically, the message was that a deep well had been dug and that even though it was taking long for the bucket to reach the top, with patience, the full blessing would become manifested. This word has matured in significance over recent times as another prophetical word was spoken about ancient wells which were hidden that are now coming into use which once again speaks of resources that can be drawn from for much blessing. In these, the closing days of time as we know it, God is going to show His people where to find these multi-faceted resource wells even as it happened so often for the prophets of old in the book of Genesis, particularly in chapters 21 and 26, It is becoming increasingly apparent since my trip to the USA that part of these ancient wells are there, and I would not have been able to understand that until I went back.

There is also a move afoot in the near future for a travel budget to become reality which has become of paramount importance going forward. You can make that a matter of cohesive, comprehensive and concerted prayer on our behalf and I am reminded of the early apostles having perfect freedom to move into the whole known world proclaiming and demonstrating the good news of Jesus. This has become an encouragement for us to believe that we can also have this liberty in order to promote what God is doing for His kingdom work right here in our midst. I thank you in advance for standing in agreement with us over this request. Also received word recently that something is moving about this request, so please stay engaged with heaven over this pressing issue. One ministry in particular I have seen operating send their leader on frequent journeys and when he comes back their projects are taken care of. The reality of ministry today is that mobility is a treasure that can open doors for the kingdom of God.

God is challenging His church as never before to become so in love with Him that we will most naturally hear His commands and specific instructions as to how we can conduct our lives in abandonment to His complete revelation for these glorious days. This is definitely not Satan's finest hour, but is most assuredly the time described in Scripture as the "Day of the Lord". Keep looking up beloved. Our full and complete redemption is indeed becoming more and more of a reality each and every day.
